Recently, Strategic Finance was recognized by two prestigious industry groups for excellence in both design and overall content.
For the 2015 competition year, Strategic Finance won three awards in the Hermes Creative Awards competition: Platinum (for Publications, Magazine); Platinum (for Writing, Publications Overall); and Gold (for Design, Publications Overall).
The Hermes Creative Awards, sponsored by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals, are an international competition for creative work, writing, and design. This year’s field included approximately 6,000 entries, and only about 15% were recognized with Platinum Awards and 20% with Gold. Winners included associations, not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, colleges/universities, and more.
Strategic Finance also won an EXCEL Award from the Association of Media & Publishing in the category of Magazine Redesign. As IMA members might recall, the magazine was redesigned in March 2015, including a new logo, typeface, and layout, as well as the introduction of a stand-alone, open-access website, www.sfmagazine.com.
The EXCEL Awards are the largest and most prestigious awards program that exclusively recognizes excellence and leadership in nonprofit association media, publishing, marketing, and communications. Strategic Finance was named one of 227 winners from a pool of nearly 900 entries.
